In Isaiah 43:16-17, Israel was told to look to the past by remembering the great things God did for them at the Red Sea.
The beast of the field will praise me, wild dogs and ostriches: for I give water in the desert, streams in solitude, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
You have not bought me sweet cane with money, or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices.
God already had a plan, however.
And, when the time is right, just like the blooming spring flowers, I will spring forth.
